OK, I know I’m 4 days late … but its because we’ve been crazy busy working on numerous projects including: Facebook applications, dataportability.org, engagd.com,Tagurself and various other APML related projects.
In addition to all that, weve also been working away on the new Cluztr browser add-on and web site. All the details are still secret but it’s really going to be great. More word on that as we approach the launch.
Now, you can display a widget of your interests derived from your clicks. The widget is also updated automatically as your interests change, from day to day. This widget displays your Attention Profile (APML), that is, your likes and dislikes, preferences and interests.

Cluztr has been long since been a supporter of APML and we’ve been working with APML.org workgroup to develop, refine and propagate the standard. APML stands for “Attention Profiling Markup Language” and consists of all the information online about what you read, write, share and consume.
APML allows users to share their own personal Attention Profile in much the same way that OPML allows the exchange of reading lists between news readers. The idea is to compress all forms of Attention Data into a portable file format containing a description of ranked user interests.
Many companies are already making huge sums of money off of your attention data. APML is a method for you to use it for our own purposes as well.
As your browse the web, with Cluztr, it creates your Attention Profile which you can link or export to any number of third-party online services that supports APML. Just grab the feed from the APML icon on your profile page.
Stan James, of Lijit, has put together a great application that leverages Cluztr’s API. It’s called “What is Stan watching right now?” or, more formally, Live Attention and allows anyone to follow an attentionstream without needing a download.

We’ve released new (and updated) widgets into the wild for you to spice up your blog, website or social profile.
Most bad-ass of the bunch is the My Clickstream widget that displays your clickstream live!

If you haven’t heard of Tangler … it’s a discussion network. It’s like all your discussion forums in one place, but better. It’s real-time so you can have a live conversation, and also let’s you add in pictures and videos. Check it out.
A new automated filtering system has been put into place to reduce the amount of irrelevant and adult entries in the public clickstreams. The community can help cleanup by clicking on the flag icon next to the url when viewing a clickstream. The page will be tagged for review.
Now we can all enjoy squeaky clean clickstreams!
In addition to being able to chat and leave messages on any page or site you visit, you now have the ability to post global chat messages to the entire community. You can access this feature from the browser sidebar, on the page/site/all users tab and click “all users”.

To better support feed readers, and other online services we’ve tweaked the clickstream feeds. Currently you can get them in RSS 2.0 but we’ll be supporting several other flavors for shortly.
